VERIZON WIRELESS x SAMSUNG GALAXY
Tier one device launches don’t get “do overs”. When a new Galaxy dropped, millions of people hit the page in the first hour so the design had to go up on day one.
ROLE:
WEB DESIGNER
CLIENT:
Verizon Wireless/ Samsung
YEAR:
2014
DELIVERABLES:
Landing Page, Product Page, Promotional Web Banners
The Verizon Wireless x Samsung Galaxy Launch was built to support the release of two flagship devices, the Samsung Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5.
Rather than a single announcement page, the campaign spanned marquees, product description pages (PDPs), and a dedicated landing page for Samsung built to represent two brands at once. Samsung’s branding carried the product story while Verizon Wireless’s branding carried the network story, and the two needed to sit together on the same page without one crowding out the other. A Why Verizon tab within that landing page made the carrier’s case directly, covering network strength, pricing, device information, and earlier devices, each one linking through to its own PDP.
